Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy is a template provided for transparency. It is not legal advice. The site operator should have it reviewed by qualified counsel before relying on it.

Who operates this site

MowerFacts (“MowerFacts,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at mowerfacts.com, an independent, free, informational reference database of lawn mower specifications and side-by-side comparisons. We are not a retailer and we do not sell products. Questions about privacy can be sent to privacy@mowerfacts.com.

Information we collect

MowerFacts has no user accounts and does not ask you to register, log in, or submit personal information. We do not knowingly collect names, email addresses, payment details, or other personal identifiers through the site.

Like virtually all web servers, our hosting platform automatically records standard server access logs for each request. These logs may include your IP address, browser user-agent string, the page requested, the referring URL, and a timestamp. We use this information only for operating, securing, debugging, and understanding the basic load on the service.

Cookies

MowerFacts does not set advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. As of the date above, the site sets no cookies of its own — there is, for example, no unit-preference cookie or session cookie. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy to describe any cookie we set and its purpose.

Analytics

MowerFacts currently uses no third-party analytics and no advertising or behavioral-tracking services. The only usage information available to us is the privacy-respecting server access logs described above. If we ever add analytics, we will choose a privacy-respecting option and update this policy.

Third parties

The site is hosted on Railway (railway.app), our infrastructure provider, which processes requests and maintains server logs on our behalf as part of delivering the site. We do not sell, rent, or share access-log data with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the security and integrity of the service.

Data retention

Server access logs are retained only for as long as needed for operational, security, and debugging purposes and are then rotated or deleted in the normal course. Because we maintain no user accounts, we hold no profile data to retain.

Children’s privacy

MowerFacts is a general-audience informational site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we collect no personal information through the site, no such data is gathered from anyone, including children.

Your rights (CCPA / GDPR summary)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) or the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data, and to object to processing. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because MowerFacts collects no personal information beyond transient server logs and maintains no user accounts, we typically hold little or no data tied to an individual. To make a request or ask a question, contact privacy@mowerfacts.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
